Duplessis
Duplessis is the seventh of eight patterns in the Courtesans shawl collection.
Marie Duplessis was for a time the lover of Alexander Dumas, inspiring him to write the novel La Dame aux Camélias. The title stems from Marie’s habit of wearing or carrying camellias with her when she visited the theatre.
Duplessis is a semi-circular shawl with lace motifs, worked from the top-down.
