La Barucci

La Barucci is the fifth of eight patterns in the Courtesans shawl collection.

Giulia Beneni, known as La Barucci, was one of the premier courtesans of Paris, notably having a brief liaison with Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII) in 1867.

La Barucci is a crescent shawl with lace edging, worked from the bottom-up.
